The Los Angeles Times ran an op-ed by USC Annenberg Professor K.C. Cole about her views and use of social networking.
While Cole recognized that the world has become increasingly digital, she admitted that she initially took very little part in social media. However, she said that her resistance to social media stemmed from the fact that she is “just not that social.”
Cole acknowledged that once she eventually became “wired,” she “stopped feeling guilty about [her] lack of constant exposure.”
Prior to social media, Cole claimed that she managed “with a minimum of schmoozing,” and has realized that “the minimum, digitally, will serve [her] once again.”
