Please join us for a conversation with Alexandre Rideau, the director of an innovative NGO based in Dakar, Senegal. He will discuss how the organization is tackling some of Africa’s toughest challenges through entertaining and educational programs created and distributed on cell phones and other low-cost technology.
Reseau Africain d’Education pour la Sante (RAES) recently launched a series entitled “C’est La Vie!” or “That’s life!” that explores sensitive issues such as corruption in politics and the role of women. Alexandre will share several projects RAES is pursuing and also discuss his organization’s mission, which is focused on providing local actors with new communication tools so they can educate their communities and address their needs in creative ways. Others working in similar projects are encouraged to share their experiences during the discussion afterwards.
